Tour the University Campus of Yerevan where all main universities are located.

Armenia has a long tradition of education, science and knowledge transmission initiated in the monasteries across the Armenian Highland. In the 14th and 15th centuries, the monastery of Tatev hosted for example one of the most important Armenian medieval universities, the University of Tatev, which contributed to the advancement of science, religion and philosophy, reproduction of books and development of miniature painting. The University of Gladzor was also a famous armenian medieval university. 

The modern University system of Armenia was initiated during the First Republic of Armenia in 1919. Since then, Armenia is home to a large number of universities, mostly public, and located in Yerevan city centre. This tour will go through the main university buildings of Yerevan with their unique architecture.
