Discover Yerevan landmarks by Metro 


Opened in 1981, the Yerevan Metro was the eight metro system of the fromer Soviet Union. During the 1988 earthquake, the metro suffered very minimal damage and was able to operate the next day while the whole country suffered huge damages. 

It has currently 10 active stations with typical Soviet metro architectural style intertwined with national symbols and a length of 13.4km. In 2020, there were 20 million rides performed with the metro. 

This walking tour will be focused on the main Yerevan landmarks accessible through the Metro.
