Heroes of the First Republic of Armenia

From USD 10

Immerse yourself in the First Republic of Armenia following its declaration of Independance.

On 28 May 1918, after centuries of foreign invasion, oppression, systematic destruction, and mass killings culminating with the Genocide of Armenians by the Ottoman Empire, the Armenian people reclaimed and regained their independance on their autochtonous land of the Armenian Highlands.

This date represents an extreme symbol for all Armenians as the date of rebirth of a nation, courage, strength and determination against the adversity. Without this declaration of Independance, there would probably be no Armenia today. The First Republic was short-lived but allowed to create the basis for a new political entity where Armenians could live in peace.

This walking tour located in the city centre of Yerevan will focus on the history of the First Republic of Armenia through the lenses of its heroes.
